Here are answers to some of the most commonly asked questions people have about Amari Medical Weight Loss. Feel free to give us a call and we will be happy to provide any other information you need.
Does your center accept health insurance?
Our center does not accept insurance for payment. However, this does not rule out the possibility of reimbursement by your insurance provider. We will be glad to provide you with properly coded invoices that you may submit for reimbursement. During your complimentary no-obligation consultation, we will provide you with the diagnosis information you can supply to your provider for coverage eligibility.
Additionally, many employers offer a Pre-Tax Flexible Spending Account (FSA) to their employees. These arrangements permit the employee to stow a portion of their pre-tax earnings to use on health-related expenses NOT covered by health insurance. Your FSA may cover your program fees – ask your employer for more information.
What is Medically Supervised Rapid Weight Loss?
Is there medication involved?
We have a variety of programs to help you safely and effectively lose weight, and most importantly keep it off. Each weight loss program is individualized based on your needs and requirements and includes personal counseling and an exercise regimen recommendation. Our Medical Director, Dr. J. Shah, may prescribe an FDA approved, or natural, appetite suppressant to help you curb your appetite depending on your diagnosis.

What are the fees associated with the Medical Weight Loss programs?
The fees vary dependent on the weight loss program, the amount of weight loss involved, your medical diagnosis, and your insurance coverage. The initial consultation is complimentary - with no obligation at all. We will cover subsequent program costs and other critical program facts during our consultation.
Do I have to be extremely overweight to consider The Center for Medical Weight Loss? What if I only need to lose 10 -15 pounds?
Our weight loss programs are not simply for people who are extremely overweight, but are for anyone who is unhappy or feels unhealthy due to their weight. We will tell you if you shouldn't, or don't need to lose weight, or if you are not the right candidate for one of our weight loss programs for any reason. Our goal is your overall health.
You may also wish to consider our Mesotherapy or LipoDissolve treatments if you are interested in losing weight in a specific area.
Are your weight loss programs safe if I have diabetes or any other medical conditions?
Not only are our programs safe for people with diabetes, hypertension, and other medical problems - they are helpful in controlling any further complications that result from these diseases. More than this, our weight loss programs can help alleviate many of the other conditions that result from obesity, including arthritis, coronary artery disease, sleep apnea, and persistent lymphedema, lower extremity edema, and high cholesterol.
