Frequently Asked Questions

What is Exilis ?

Exilis is the newest, completely non-invasive procedure that melts fat, and tightens skin (even on the face and neck). Exilis can help to eliminate stubborn life-long fat pockets without surgery, pain, or downtime.

How does Exilis work?

Exilis delivers radio-frequency energy to the fat cells and the collagen fibers in the skin causing them to warm up. This heating effect causes fat cells to speed up metabolic activity and causes them to shrink and release the fatty acids which your body can utilize or excrete. Simultaneously, the collagen fibers absorb the heat energy to begin strenghtening and tightening.

How does Exilis differ from Accent or Thermage?

Exilis uses patented Radio-Frequency technology that allows it to more comfortably and more effectively administer treatment than Accent Radio Frequency or Thermage Radio-Frequency devices. This is possible because Exilis's proprietary delivery method (a combination of heating and cooling) uses gentle heating rather than the application of intense heat.

How is Exilis different from SmartLipo Liposuction?

Exilis differs from SmartLipo in many ways. Exilis is completely non-invasive and treatment does not involve any incisions, pain, or downtime. You will not have to change dressings, and won't have to take time off from work.

Exilis requires that you live a healthy lifestyle : eat nutritious meals, walk 30 minutes per day, and drink lot of water. This lifestlye is what will help you body burn the fat. SmartLipo is performed by a surgeon and the fat bypasses the metabolic processes. Liposuction is a better alternative for individuals not concerned with downtime, pain, and are looking for exact results.

What type of results are expected?

The results from Exilis will vary from client to client, the amount of fat being treated, and the location of the fat.

Are there any side effects to Exilis?

On rare occassions, patients may obtain an arch spot - a slight superficial skin irritation that is temporary. This irritation is compared to something less than the irritation from a sun burn. Amari staff takes every precaution to minimize this occurance.

How many treatments will it take?

Generally, the average patient requires approximately 4 -6 treatments. However this will depend on the individual client and the amount of fat and skin to be treated.  Treatments are typically done once a week - exact protocol is determined during your free consultation.

How soon will I see results with Exilis?

Results vary depending on your body type and type of fat being treated. On average, clients start noticing visible improvement after the first few treatments. However, in some patients, it is not unusual to see the end result 2-3 months after the final treatment.
